Not a lot of photo-taking going on lately. Cruddy weather combined with cruddy Josh has not lead to a lot. Anyway, also not a lot of running or walking going on, due to aforementioned knee problems after the Epic Run. Knee still isn't 100%, so I'm still taking it kinda easy. Recent journey Garmin outputs:
The Farragut Greenway, once I found it, proved to be decent. Lots of it is behind rich folks homes, so pretty gardens and stuff to look at.
Block Oak is a different story. I think I may be cursed where that greenway is concerned. It is of course where I had my bike wreck. Well, today I went there kinda late, without a definite plan. Decided to tote the camera out, and maybe get some pictures of the accident site. Well, I was maybe .6mi in and noticed the sky was darker than I thought it should be. Checked the phone, it showed storms coming in, but they looked they'd miss my location. Well... another maybe .15mi in, I decided not to press my luck and head back. If you check the player, you'll notice that at one point I get quite a bit faster than previously. You guessed it - the sky opened up on my. Normally, I wouldn't worry
too much about that. What really did get me worried was the thunder. So yeh, I quickly the bright yellow waterproof shell on my camera case and hauled my ass back to the car. Fairly sure I looked quite the fool, holding the bag in 1 hand so it didn't jostle too much, and holding my iPhone in my pocket in the other. Sheesh.
Anyway, made it back safely. Couple of photos, because I know you're just dying to see some:
