Dinner in Denver

A couple of shots from the Mexican place we ate at in Denver.

First, obligatory food shot (some sort of chicken with mole):

Long bar:

BOOZE!

This was pretty amusing.  It was right above the seat I was slotted into at the bar:

Something mildly amusing happened today...

I've been working on editing my photos, as you've seen.  Well, I thought it would be kind of neat to show how to do HDR that doesn't really look like it that much, so I uploaded an HDR image and the 3 original exposures to Picasa.  Here are the three originals, starting with under-exposed:

"Proper" exposure:

Over-exposed:

This morning, to my surprise, Google did one of its "AutoAwesome" dealios, and HDR'ed them for me!  So, first I'll show you Google's version, followed by mine.  I'm curious which folks prefer - leave a comment!  As always, an honest opinion is appreciated.

Still remembering fall...

I'm starting to make progress in processing photos I took forever ago.

This was shot on a walk along a greenway near a Wal-mart:

Another shot from my Rich Mountain Loop Hike:

But what's that?  Let's take a closer look!

Crazy red-eyed cricket thing!  Unfortunately, that was the best shot I got of it.

Fall in the valley

Another shot from Ijams

I really like the color of these berries (so vibrant!), and I think the shallow depth of field makes it a bit more interesting.

Where has the time gone?

Welcome to 2014.  A few shots from Denver that I played around with last night.
