Mo' flowers, mo' problems

I liked the composition on this photo:


This is not a flower, it's some bird I cannot identify.  Any ideas?

April Flowers

This set is from a hike I took up at the River Bluffs at Norris Dam.  Major disaster though - I brought my 70-200mm lens instead of the macro!  So, not a ton of photos :)

Apparently some of my devout readers wetre worried about Mister Flamey Bolo Man catching himself on fire.  Well, he really did catch his shirt or pants (I forgot) on fire, but quickly put it out. He was fine.  This is after that wee incident.  I played around a lot with Lightroom on these, so some of them are a bit .... detached from reality.





I like that you can see the different flame colors in this one.

Awhile ago Friday.....

I was talked into going to First Friday downtown.  Like five months ago.  Anyway, I took some photos, of course.  Here's the first set.  Mostly folks on bikes advertising old-school style.

Then I came upon a new statue in Market Square.




Except it was actually a dude with some amazing makeup and costuming!

There were three there, but I never got a good shot with the third one still there.  It flew away once I got close enough.

Spring beauties

Not the bestest photos ever of all time, but I like these tiny little flowers, what with them being all stripey and whatnot, so you will just have to live with it.
