Which of these looks better?





I believe I like the de-saturated leaves in the second picture, but the eagle in the first photo better... maybe I can figure out how to get both in the same photo.

Not an osprey

Nope, no osprey tonight.  Instead, I present a cattle egret found on the mysterious Egret Island (more on that in a later post).

Some more photos from the boating trip

Just a couple more quick edits from the boat trip out on Watt's Bar Lake.

Osprey!  These are the same picture, the second is just a very close crop.





I really love their bright yellow eyes!  Here's another shot, this time with the 70-200mm f/2.8.



Just a little bit of sunset.  IIRC, I shot this while the boat was moving, using live view, with the 300mm.



And finally, as the light was dying, I tried to get a little ARTSY!

Very late, but I wanted to show off a few photos.  Not much editing done.  Taken at Watt's Bar Lake from my friend Kevin's boat.





These are probably not the best shots, and not edited well.  But I'm still pretty stoked :D  The osprey is only cropped a tiny bit to frame it better.  The eagle is cropped a bit more.  w00t.
