Wherein I present the dumbest squirrel on the planet

When I met my new friend the Cooper's Hawk last weekend, I couldn't figure out he was interested in the apartment complex.  I mean, it's an apartment complex in suburban Knoxville.

Sure, I mean, he was an awesome looking bird, and maybe he wanted to show off for the camera:





However, I figured there had to be more to this mystery!  Thus, I discovered the stupidest squirrel on the planet.  Let's call him Dumbass:



One might notice that that appears to be the same fence that the hawk had chosen to perch on.  Note the hawk's amused expression as he peers down at Dumbass:
