Birding at ETTP

Way back in May, I went with a group of other folk from DOE to do some birding up at the ETTP.  It was a fun time, despite the rain.  I don't think I've posted any of these photos before, but if I have, please forgive me.  I learned that I'm a terrible birder, but taking the photos is still fun :)

Right away, our TWRA guide, pointed out this bald eagle nest near the parking area.  We were fortunate enough to see the immature eagle still in residence:



Later on, we spotted one of the parents gliding around:


There were tons of bluebirds in the birdhouses:


and tons of birders able to spot things that I could not!


I did manage to get a shot of this cute little bunny wabbit!


Just a sign to remember where I was:


Every birdhouse that didn't have bluebirds had tree swallows.
