Ijams has BUGS!

While at Ijams, I managed to take some pictures I really like. Of course, they're of bugs!

First off are a couple of shots of boxelder bugs. This was one of those times where you hear them before you see them. I was just walking along, and then heard lots of little scuffling down on the ground. There were tons of these little guys, probably 10-15 per square foot!

The first photo is just a portrait. The second is my latest entry in the bugsex series of photos.

Honeybee. I should note that these were both taken handheld. That's not as easy as it might sound, when trying to focus on a BEE that's just a couple inches from the front of your lens!

Later I'll post some even more impressive shots of a bumblebee from the same little henbit field.
