Today's house hunting, Part II

Continued from Part I.

House C was an interesting beast.  The front yard was very well kept, but the house itself was a bit too close to the neighbors on either side for my liking.  But first, let's check out the inside!

Nice open floor plan:

This image is bad, but the kitchen was nice too.

Now we get to the craziness.  The entire back yard has been professionally landscaped.  Like, literally every inch.

It really looked great, but no way I'm getting myself into that sort of maintenance and upkeep.  Back inside!

Nice whirlpool in the master:

Updated master bath:

Put the wee people in this area!

This was an interesting feature.  A window on the second floor that overlooks the living room:

Goodbye House C!

House D was another interesting case.  My realtor got a call before we went over saying the owner was still in the middle of renovating.  Things like countertops, floor, and appliances weren't quite in yet.  Yep, that was certainly the case!

The front was nice:

I really like the dark hardwood floors.  The really light stuff isn't my favorite.

Very spacious back yard:

Some nice little box gardens, too.

Back inside!

So... this is the current state of the kitchen:

I have trouble visualizing what it will look like.  Leanna actually said this house was probably the best value, since all the updating would be done before I moved in.  So far, it looks like the owner has actually used pretty high-quality fixtures, etc.

So that was House D.  It's really hard to make a call on it, since it's really only half-finished.  If I haven't made an offer on something else by the time it's done, I'll probably go back for a second look.  One nice thing is that it's in Farragut, close to everything.  It's about a 2 minute walk through the neighborhood to get to a greenway entrance!

Stay tuned for Part III!
