So when I sat at the computer this evening, there were something like 800+ photos I hadn't gotten around to looking at. That number is closer to 300 now. Which is still too many!
LOVE the leaf photo. I need to go out and take photos of things with the sun behind them. :)
I did a surprisingly good one on my iphone of all things--I did use an app (mostly to add neat edges), but the original photo looked pretty cool too. Are we friends on flickr? Or rather, what storage site do you use?
Here's that photo (wasn't sure if I could hotlink): http://www.flickr.com/photos/47210196@N03/6318079185/in/photostream
I was really happy with the leaf photo - I've been working a lot on getting things right the first time, and that one is almost straight out of the camera. I think all I did in post-processing was a little sharpening and noise reduction on the RAW file (something the camera would have done on the JPEG anyway).
Right now I generally just upload a bunch to Picasa, and post the "better" ones on the blog. I keep meaning to make more use of something like Flickr or 500px, but I haven't quite gotten around to it yet.
I dig the silhouetted ferris wheel! It's hard for me to do things like that, I tend to gravitate towards trying to document nature-y things than the artistic side. But, I'm making an effort! :)
That's awesome. I was at Dollywood and just trying to take a generic photo of the ferris wheel, when I realized I couldn't see. I walked so that I didn't have the sun blazing into my eyes. I think sometimes accidents like that happen, and you go, "OH! That's cool!" and now I want to take lots of silhouette photos. :)

I meant to say that not only have I enjoyed light through things, I am enjoying the silhouette effect, which is more what my photo is showing. :)
