More 300mm shots

I forgot to mention yesterday, these shots were all with a 1.4x teleconverter.  Even with it attached (also borrowed), I was pretty pleased with the autofocus speed.  I definitely wish Nikon would come out with a 300mm with Vibration Reduction, though.  I'm just not that steady on my own.

This shot was cool - I actually had no idea there were insects on this plant until I looked through my viewfinder!  I just thought the flowers would look nice framed against the green background.



This one is also cool.  I had pretty much given up for the day and was on my way back to the car when I saw a particular cooperative hawk-moth!
